Rainbow trout and limestone

Yesterday was spent taking pictures and trout fishing.  Yeah trout, in Texas?  The state stocks thousands of rainbow trout in the Guadalupe River for anglers to chase and sometimes catch.  I found a neat creek draw that really spoke to me.

I wanted a larger lead in with more water so it felt like the viewer was standing in the water, much like I was doing yesterday.  I was standing in the water, waving a stick after one of these

Here's another painting I completed during the weekend. I wanted to lay down big shapes and bring in the trees over them.
